These two panels are 18” x 12” and have been made from leftovers in my studio. They are made with a plethora of materials I had on hand. I was determined not to BUY anything and to work with what I had. The panels were a bit difficult to grout, as the flower petals are raised as they are cut from plates. After grouting and cleaning, I added the jewelry, beads and rhinestones for added dimension and visual interest. The yellow flowers encircled with millefiori are jewelry purchased at Michael’s and painted with glass paint. They were also added after grouting as they are sitting atop a piece of mirror. Glass fusions I made in my kiln are the flower centers, as well as the triangular shapes at the flowers’ center. Background is stained glass and the piece is edged in and rimmed with glass tiles. They were donated to St. Joseph the Worker CraftFest to be held November 2023 as an auction item.
